Junior Martial Arts Classes
Our junior programme is designed for children 7-11 years old and is built to teach a child everything they need to thrive and grow in life.
We focus on building physical fitness, confidence and self-defence whilst promoting kindness and respect.
We focus on building physical fitness, confidence and self-defence whilst promoting kindness and respect.
We also incorporate the traditions of martial arts but implement them with a fun, modern twist to ensure every student doesn’t just learn martial arts, but has a fun, enjoyable time, making friends within our Hero community.
Juniors, so what’s involved?
Good Behaviour – Focusing on core character skills
Self-Defence – Building up a repertoire of self defence techniques
Confidence – Encouraging self confidence and happiness
Anti-Bullying – Techniques and avenues to support anti-bullying
Fitness – Keeping healthy, fit and happy
Self Control – Teaching the difference between right and wrong
Achievement – We help children set goals and achieve them both in martial arts and the outside world

How do classes work?
Our Junior classes are an hour long and we incorporate fitness exercises, martial arts techniques and follow up with character building exercises and games.
And just like a normal martial arts class, your child will be able to grade and move up the belt system, allowing them to strive for goals and have a sense of accomplishment.
Going forward, once your child becomes 11, they can move on to our family classes or even take part in our assistant instructor programme.

Amaya started her martial arts journey when she was just 3 years 8 months old and I can honestly say there has never been a week where she has said to me “Mummy I don’t want to go martial arts today”.Amaya has gained confidence, coordination and concentration within a discipline she enjoys and strives at. The teachings have been great for Amaya as she can use what she has learnt in so many different ways. It’s not just about stranger danger or self defence. So many aspects of daily life such as routine, manners and good behaviour are all rolled into this 30 minute session where she benefits from physical exercise too. Amaya is now training for her 8th belt and is super excited. As the world adapts to this new way of teaching Master Fullick has made sure the classes are fun, engaging and energetic for all the Mini Hero’s. To sum it up, Amaya loves doing Martial Arts.
